Little and gave the landlord, allowing good answers, but add me my opinion. First off – your landlord goofed by not specifically relating to the rental pool, the absent-added, which I agree is that you are responsible to cleaning – chemical-maintaince and insurance covers your guests. But up to a major repair and you like this – I cannot see you, to bear the entire expense. I agree also agree that the smaller the property is worth to you with the useless puddle. If you subtract the $ 1300 – Their landlords may not be able to cover their costs, and it undoubtedly caused hard feelings. I worked on laughter and never heard a filter that costs this much, even when shooting your pump that sounds like too much, and a second opinion is in order. Try to draw him with the owner – the expense of possibly sharing – Pull off little each month – or footnote the bill and have the repair amount added to your security depoist for return, when you move. Funds established for everyone – you were so creative and im sure something can be worked out.

Pool maintenance is usually on the tenant. You are required to read your lease to determine who pays for it. Probably it is you, but your lease may provide otherwise.

The pool is part of the rental property. . . It is available as part of the "package" in the rental property as an underground pool and how you rent, the landlord for repairs to this pool, as long as the tenant include responsible (you did) NOTHING recorded for damage to rental property. . . so in this case the landlord is required to have installed a new filter, or he or she undertakes to declare the date of signing the lease that the pool filter was faulty. . . they need to know before they rented the house and pool YOU. . . tell her, because the pool is unusable and the pool was part of the rental "package" you plan to deduct the costs for which you can take your family on a public beach or pool or to say to you, they have a certain amount of rent to be deducted until the pool is fixed. . . they will have someone fix almost immediately to the pool. . . . If you've been excellent tenants so far, they will not want to lose you and the pool could be a lease-breaker in your favor
