      Try the local animal shelter. They are usually happy for people to assume such beings, if they have a lot. There are usually around a number of private foster homes and may be able to help as well.

      I found these bunnies for 25 dollars. Tell your mom even though they are 25 dollars the bunny will come with an indoor cage, a litterbox, bowls, and starter supply of hay, litter, and pellets, which you would need to buy for the bunny anyway.
