Maidstone is kent’s county town & Canterbury is the only city in the county. Kent is renowned for its hop gardens & orchards, so it’s regularly called england’s garden. London has a long & fascinating history, which initiated when the romans established the first major settlement there in AD 43 following the Roman conquest of great britain. London was especially prosperous in the eighteenth century & it became the biggest city in the world from 1831 to 1925. the growth of the city was aided by London’s first railways, which put rural towns within easy reach of the city. The train network expanded very quickly, which made London grow into its surrounding areas & come together with close by settlements such as Kensington. Ever since then, London continues to thrive & it remains one of the world’s biggest cities. Kent is a massive county, so it has plenty of marvellous museums & art galleries to explore. one of kent’s finest museums is the RNLI Museum in Chatham, which is situated in a beautiful old building that originated in 1848. The shopping in kent is superb & should not be missed. even though the bigger towns have loads of high street stores & designer stores, the unusual independent stores are even better. • Hertfordshire, UK is Well Worth A Day Out

Hertfordshire is an old and non metropolitan county that is located in the Eastern area of England and Hertford is its county town. It is one of the Home Counties that do not have a sea shore and lies inland, which shares its borders with Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire at the borough of Luton, Buckinghamshire, Greater London and Essex.

The Pasqueflower was chosen Hertfordshires county flower after a 2002 marketing campaign done by plant conservation charity Plantlife. Originally Hertfordshire was the region provided to a fortress, which was constructed at Hertford during the rule of Edward the Elder, in 913AD.

The name Hertford was taken from the Anglo Saxon heart ford, which means deer crossing of a watercourse and this name first appeared in the Anglo Saxon Chronicle in 1011. Obviously deer features in many county designs. Permanent settlement started at the early of the Bronze Age, followed by various tribes settling in this region during the Iron Age.

When the Romans conquered Britain in 43 AD, Hertfordshire altered very soon in the Roman way of life. A new town called Verulamium became the third largest city of Roman Britain. After Romans abandoned Britain, the Anglo Saxons took control of the area, constructed their own villages and towns, including the county town and now city of Hertford.

According to the Domesday Book that recorded the county it contained only nine hundred people. As London developed, Hertfordshire came close to the English capital, most of the region was in the procession of aristocracy and nobility, and this backup helped a lot in boosting the local economic structure.

In 1965, there were minor changes in the boundaries of Hertfordshire as Potters Bar Urban District of Middlesex was brought in to Hertfordshire. Since the 1920s to the late 1980s, the town of Borehamwood used to house one of the significant British film studios, which included the MGM British Studios. Most of the studios often used the name of Elstree, from the name of the adjoining village.

The city of Waltham Cross, which lies within the borough of Broxbourne, will play host to the canoe and kayak slalom events in the Summer Olympic Games in 2012. A proposal has been put forward by town-planner Andr?Duany, who has advised that fully designed Garden Villages should be constructed in Hertfordshire to soothe some of the pressure from new homes and most probably a third Garden City will follow.

This ancient county is definitely one of the author’s favorites in England.

  • How to Catch Fish in the Ocean in New Jersey…Popular Species

Fishing has been around for centuries and will no doubt continue to grow in popularity as it has so much to offer anyone taking part in this sport. It can be relaxing and exciting all at the same time. This is probably one reason why New Jersey saltwater fishing is a big part of the tourism for this state. Anglers travel from all over just to have the opportunity to fish these waters.
There are many different types of species of fish found in the ocean and along the coastline of New Jersey making it a dream come true for anglers everywhere. There are numerous lakes in New Jersey where the bass fishing is excellent.
A few of these lakes and reservoirs are listed below:
    Union Lake
    Swartswood Lake
    Merrill Creek Reservoir
    Spruce Run Reservoir
    Lake Hopatcong
    Greenwood Lake
    Oak Ridge Reservoir
Of course, bass is not the only species that you can find in this area, there are many other types of fish available in the New Jersey waters as well. To give you an idea of what you can expect when you go fishing in New Jersey, below is a list of some of the different species that you will find here both inshore and offshore.
    New Jersey Popular Fish Species
Deep sea fishing is very popular in New Jersey along with inshore fishing. This may be contributed to the different types of fish found in this area. Several of the most popular fish species found in this state are listed below so you can see what New Jersey has to offer the anglers that live here and for its visitors.
Bigeye Tuna This species can weigh up to 300 pounds.
White Marlin This species normally range between 40 to 100 pounds.
Yellowfin Tuna This species can weigh up to 200 pounds.
Blue Fish This species can reach up to 30 pounds.
Aside from the bass species the blue fish is one of the most popular species of fish around when it comes to New Jersey saltwater fishing. One reason for this is because they are so abundant and can be caught most anywhere near the shoreline or when deep sea fishing.
How to Catch Fish in the New Jersey Ocean
There are several techniques that will work great when saltwater fishing in
New Jersey. The one you choose will mainly depend on whether you are deep sea fishing or fishing close to the shore.
Jigging is one method that works extremely well for catching blue fish and bass. Jigging is easy and simply involves placing a jig on the end of a line and presenting it to the fish. You then move it up and down to draw the fish to the hook, which is where the term jigging comes from.
Casting is used quite often especially when pier fishing. When casting try to aim your line toward structures where the fish will be hiding out. This will be more effective than trying to send your line out for long distances. When fishing from a pier at night, you should cast your line where the pier is casting a shadow on the water for the best results.

  • Proper Swimming Pool Temperature

What is an ideal swimming pool temperature? This is a difficult question to answer because it varies based on individual swimmers preferences. Based on recommended heater temperatures and settings from virtually all manufactures, the ideal range for both indoor swimming pools and outdoor swimming pools is anywhere from 75 degrees to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This figure should not be thought of as final as temperature and comfort does differ from person to person and environment to environment, but it a good goal to reach.

If you have a backyard swimming pool without a heater, looking for an ideal temperature is a difficult task. The temperature of the swimming pool will gradually increase as the season changes and as the pool heats up, but the initial temperature of your swimming pool in the early parts of the swimming season will be quite cold ? usually well less than 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Even though there is no proper pool temperature, swimming pools less than 65 degrees Fahrenheit are unpleasant even for the most adventurous swimmers. On the other side, if you do have an outdoor swimming pool with a heater, set it at something that is comfortable to your swimmers and your activity level. For instance, cooler pool water is more ideal for exercising where warmer water is better for a lounge / beach atmosphere. But, keep in mind that turning up your heater too much can lead to unexpected drama.

When you increase the temperature of your swimming pool water, it can have an effect on pool maintenance. With higher temperature comes more water evaporation. This means you will need to be more diligent about filling up your swimming pool to keep the water in your skimmers. Higher water temperatures also mean a faster buildup of dissolved solids. This is basically the ?bad stuff? that the chlorine attacks in swimming pool water. Higher pool water temperatures will also burn off your chlorine and pool sanitizing agents much more quickly. Algae also love the hot water so they will grow faster and force more serious and diligent swimming pool vacuuming, squeeging, and cleanup.

Even if you don?t have a swimming pool heater to maintain your swimming pools temperature, the same concerns of a warmer pool will eventually plague your pool in peak summer heat environments. Keep an eye out for seasonal changes and how they will affect your water chemistry. The most important reading in your swimming pool during hot and cold times will be your total alkalinity. When the weather is cooler, your total alkalinity should be increased. In warmer weather, your total alkalinity should be decreased with a muriatic acid to keep the saturation index fairly constant.

There is no ideal swimming pool temperature but you should adjust your temperature based on your individual preference. Also, keep in mind the added responsibilities that come with maintaining a warmer pool. Watch out for seasonal changes and note how they affect your swimming pool chemistry. Both cold and warm temperatures have an effect on pool chemistry and maintenance routines.

  • New Jersey Plaintiffs Can Insist On Videotaped Depositions

New Jersey court reporters noted with interest a September 2008 decision regarding videotaping of depositions. A plaintiff wanted to compel the videotaping of her deposition over the objections of the defendant’s attorney. The Honorable Rachelle Harz, Bergen County superior court judge, has ruled that the videotaping cannot be prevented.
The Value of the Written Transcript
Judge Harz made a point of saying that videotaped depositions did not remove the requirements for stenographic transcripts prepared by qualified New Jersey court reporters. The only addition to the transcript is the requirement that the name, address and firm of the video operator must be stated on record prior to the swearing in of the witnesses.
New Jersey court reporters were pleased by this decision. There have been unfortunate cases where decisions have been made that allow technology such as digital recordings to take the place of transcripts prepared by certified court reporters. These decisions are almost always reversed years later when the courts see the problems created by the absence of a professional and disinterested record keeper.
    The Value of Videotape
The plaintiff’s attorney asserted that the videotape was a necessary part of a complete deposition. The plaintiff had suffered debilitating injuries, allegedly as a result of improper treatment in the emergency room of the hospital who was the defendant. Her speech and movement difficulties were part of her situation, it was stated, and a complete picture of her condition wouldn’t be adequately described by a reading of the transcript.
There is truth in this statement. Transcripts prepared by New Jersey court reporters are deliberately written to be impartial documentation of the proceedings. They are accurate records of the spoken word and often contain notes about the speaker’s actions as well, but aren’t designed to capture emotion or rhythms of speech.
To be fair, video is not a disinterested observer. It is human nature to change behavior when on camera. The defending attorney’s objection was that the presence of video would interfere with her ability to take an accurate deposition. The judge noted that it would also prevent an overly forceful method of questioning.
    Two Media Working Together
The true value of videotaped depositions is not to replace transcripts prepared by New Jersey court reporters but to supplement them. Each record of the proceeding brings different information and together they form a picture more complete than either would create alone.
This is a perfect of example of how changing technology doesn’t threaten the court reporting profession but enhances it. Court reporters can use technology such as video, digital audio, and speech recognition to augment their abilities as a professional documenter of the spoken word. By embracing all new developments in record keeping methods, court reporters can serve better in their roles as guardian of the spoken word.

  • Pool Fences As Guardian Around Our Pool Area

Pool Fence is specifically designed to provide a safety barrier around residential swimming pools for toddlers and young children. These fences were installed in sections for the convenience of easy removal and reinstallation of the homeowners.
Since swimming pools, spas and hot tubs are becoming more frequent in the backyards of homes across the state of America while very enjoyable to the users, these places are also very alluring to young children. As a pool owner, you have a serious responsibility to keep your pool as safe as possible, 24 hours a day and everyday of the year and the only way to achieve this goal is that we need protection like installing pool fence against unsupervised children that is paramount in avoiding a household disaster.
Pool fence is a type of fence placed around the backyard swimming pools that is commonly used to improved pool safety and then to prevent small children or pets for accidentally falling into the pool and drowning. You have to be sure to closely examine local and national building and safety codes and zoning requirements and building permits to ensure that you meet all important fencing necessities for your pool. Pool fence should be low to the ground and be tall enough and offer little space to hinder anyone from getting through. Pool fence should always be kept in good condition, have high locks or handles that are appropriately at an inaccessible height for children and that shut and latch automatically. Nothing should be placed or built on near the fence that will be able to assist someone in climbing over.
There are different types of pool fencing that are utilized depending on the budget of the pool owners and each kind offers its own advantages and disadvantages. There are permanent fences that are popular in wood, vinyl, aluminum, and wrought iron. There are also chain link fences that are often made of steel and are popular in their practicality. And to ensure the pool safety and protection, some people prefer to choose the more expensive fencing option having the brick or stonewall constructed on their pool area. One of the popular fencing options is the removable fence offered in different colors. These removable fences that are mounted in fiberglass or aluminum framing system are usually made from a crystal clear mesh material or aluminum meshing.
To enclose your pool and some added pool gates, you have to buy these removable fences in individual sections and to be more effective, they need to fasten securely to the decking and mostly use either holes in the deck or fasteners. According to government statistics drowning is the no.1 cause of accidental deaths among children under the age of 5 and swimming lessons for children are not enough to protect them because it does not guarantee that they are water safe. Having a pool fence is a proven method of safeguarding our pool from unauthorized access by our children and pets. It can be easily installed by a homeowner and can be easily removed.
A decision of a having a pool fence for your swimming pool is wise and responsible move because drowning can occur in as little as three seconds. Adult supervision is still the most effective method to ensure the safety of our children and toddlers but pool fence provides an additional layer of protection between a precious child and a pool in our backyard. Drowning is one accident that we have a choice of preventing it so why wait for a disaster to make a responsible move, safety should always be the first on our list at all times.
